EMMENTAL
Semi-hard cheese made from cow’s milk. Due to high mountainous and alpine pastures, spring waters and mastery of the cheese makers, the Swiss cheese produced in Armenia has always gained deserved recognition. The flexible paste is deep yellow in color, with a sweetish-nutty taste and strong aroma. On cutting, it has big regular shape eyes. The cheese has the shape of a low cylinder with slightly bulging sides. It has a weight of 5-10 kg and is coated with orange latex. Is sold after 2 months of aging. The older cheese develops a stronger aroma.
